When placing orders with higher powers, be careful. You might end up with something you never expected.

Apparently the universe doesn’t work like Amazon. You can’t return or exchange what you’ve received, but sometimes it’s better that way.

If you’re not aware, “manifesting” is the ability to use your mind to will your thoughts, dreams or desires into reality.

Some may not believe in manifestation, “the law of attraction” or whatever you want to call it. Some may even say it’s crazy to think we can use our minds to bring things into existence, but everybody does it.

We’ve all day dreamed about how our lives would be if we had more money, better relationships, a bigger house or whatever it is we need in our lives. We’ve all made a wish when blowing out a birthday candle and millions of people around the world use prayer to ask for what they want.

It’s not that crazy of a concept.

Whether you practice religion or follow new age beliefs, there is a connection between the two. This connection is the belief there is something larger and more powerful than us who hears our requests.

There is nothing wrong with asking for help from higher powers, but does it actually work?

I’ve prayed and I’ve called out my requests to the universe many times with anguish and tears. There have been times in my life where I’ve placed an order with the powers much larger than I, but I never got them. There have also been times where times I HAVE received things, but they were no where near what I asked for.

One has to wonder who receives the orders when humans ask for something.

Is it God?

Or does God have helpers, sort of like how Santa has elves?

If you don’t believe in God, but you do believe in the energy of the universe, who do you complain to if your order hasn’t been received?

If there is a customer service department, they aren’t very responsive.

Maybe there is a language barrier, sort of like when you place a phone order from the US and the call center is in India. Are the universal order takers multi-lingual?

I placed an order a long time ago to be rich.

It hasn’t happened yet.

I also requested if it wasn’t possible to fulfill that order, I’d like to have a very wealthy woman come into my life to take care of me so I wouldn’t have to work. That also hasn’t happened.

And the private jet to take me to my beach house in Tahiti?

That’s not shown up either.

While the big orders I’ve placed haven’t arrived yet, I did receive some others in their place. Things like having a roof over my head and food to eat everyday are pretty nice. And my car? It’d be a long walk to my job without it.

It’s pretty cool to be able to pay my bills too.

And the whole health and well-being thing? There’s more than a couple of reasons I almost wasn’t here to type this today. When I was in a really dark place in my life, I just wanted to end the pain and misery. What I begged the universe for luckily didn’t arrive.

The universal call center doesn’t operate the way we think it does.

Whether you believe it or not, someone DOES hear your order.

They just decide to send you what they think you NEED, not what you want.

Take a moment to think about what you already have in your life.

You’ll realize the orders you’ve received may not be exactly right, but even if you could return what you have, you probably shouldn’t.

Somebody wanted you to have them…
